Service Drive Contingency Plans for August 29th, First Day of School

Plan A

The current plan for the service drive is for the construction to company to work all weekend so that on Monday morning, our first day of school, the drive will be available to both buses and parent traffic.

Plan B

If for some unforeseen reason the construction company is unable to completely open the drive, it will be open from Kidder Road to the parent parking lot on the west side of the Middle School.  All parent traffic will need to pull in from Kidder Road and proceed to the west parent parking lot.

Plan C

We do not anticipate needing a plan C, but should the road not be available to traffic, all Middle School students are to be dropped off in front of the Orchard Primary where they will walk to the Middle School and enter through the front doors.

Personal Device Purchase Program

Our district is in the process of purchasing teacher laptops and student Chromebooks through Michigan's TRIG (Technology Readiness Infrastructure Grant) project. Potential vendors must meet very strict device specifications to be approved as sellers. These requirements include special pricing exclusively for schools. There are numerous devices on TRIG that are listed at 50% off the retail price.
This year some TRIG approved vendors have agreed to offer many of the same devices listed on TRIG to school employees, students and parents, all at the same prices offered to schools. The only additional cost for employees, students and parents is sales tax.
If you are interested in purchasing devices at the school cost please visit:
We are purchasing the teacher laptops (HP ProBook 450 G3) through inaCOMP and the studentChromebooks (Dell Chromebook 11") through NETECH. Each of these vendors are accessible on the website listed above.
